5-minute face sculpting routine: step by step

No time for an elaborate skincare routine? You don't need one. With this face sculpting routine you are done in 5 minutes, and it feels like a mini salon moment. Do it in the morning for a fresh start or in the evening to unwind.

What do you need?

• A gentle cleanser
• Conductive gel, or pure alcohol-free aloe vera gel
• A microcurrent device, such as the Ordeno Sculpt
• Optional: an ice roller and a gua sha

Step 1: cleanse your skin (30 seconds)

Always start with clean skin. Wash your face with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser, then pat it dry. A sonic brush such as the Ordeno Pure makes this step quick and thorough.

Step 2: fresh start with the ice roller (1 minute, optional)

Gently roll the chilled ice roller over your forehead, cheeks and under your eyes. It feels wonderfully awakening, especially in the morning.

Step 3: apply a thin layer of gel (30 seconds)

Spread a thin layer of gel over the area of your face you want to treat. Microcurrent does not work well without gel, so do not skip this step. If the gel dries out, simply add a little more.

Step 4: microcurrent (3 minutes)

Switch the device on and work zone by zone, always upwards and outwards:

1. Jawline: from your chin along your jaw towards your ear. Repeat a few times on each side.
2. Cheeks: from beside your nose diagonally up towards your temple.
3. Forehead: from your eyebrows straight up towards your hairline.

Glide slowly and calmly. There is no need to press hard.

Step 5: finish (30 seconds)

Wipe off the gel with a damp cloth and apply your usual serum or day cream. Done!

How often?

You get the best results with regular use: 5 minutes a day, about 5 days a week. Just like exercise, short and often works better than very long now and then.

Important

Do not use microcurrent if you have a pacemaker or any other electronic implant, are pregnant, have epilepsy, have metal implants in your face or have an open wound or inflammation in the area. Not sure? Check with your GP first.
