How to deal with shiny skin during the day

A shiny forehead, nose or chin by lunchtime is completely normal. Your skin naturally produces oil, and some areas, like the T-zone, produce more than others. Here are a few easy ways to freshen up during the day.
1. Blot, do not wipe
Rubbing moves oil and make-up around. Pressing or rolling soaks up the shine and leaves your make-up where it is.
2. Use an oil roller
An oil roller has a small ball of volcanic stone that absorbs excess oil when you roll it over your skin. Unlike blotting papers, you can use it again and again. The Ordeno Matte Roller has a protective cap and fits in any bag. Clean the stone regularly with water and a little mild soap and let it dry completely.
3. A light touch of powder
After blotting, a thin layer of translucent powder on the T-zone can help. Too much powder on oily skin can look heavy, so less is more.
4. Keep your tools clean
Brushes and sponges collect oil and product. Clean them regularly, see how to clean make-up brushes.
5. Do not skip moisturiser
It sounds strange, but skipping moisturiser does not stop shine. Choose a light, non-greasy moisturiser that suits your skin.
If your skin is very oily, irritated or you are unsure what suits you, a pharmacist or dermatologist can give personal advice.
